Bob Brown Foundation has been taking action for Earth since 2012.

Our mission statement says: 

A campaign to prevent the Australian government from constructing Antarctica's first concrete airport was successful.

This stopped the homes of thousands of penguins, seals and petrels from being destroyed. 

This airport was going to be responsible for 40% of all human impact on the great ice continent since discovery. 

Bob Brown Returns to the Belfast Coastal Reserve to celebrate with community.
Led by Christine Milne, this is a campaign to protect the oldest and largest gallery of rock art in the world.

Comprised of more than one million petroglpyhs the Burrup peninsula in Western Australia's Pilbara, this global treasure is deserving of world heritage protection.

We were part of a coalition that formed to fight off big oils intention to drill in the Great Australian Bight.

The campaign was successful with both Staten and BP abandoning plans to drill in the Great Australian Bight.

In Tasmania, the Liberal government enacted new draconian anti protests laws.

Bob Brown and Jessica Hoyt immediately challenged these laws by being arrested while protesting logging in Lapoiyna forests. This arrest was challenged in the High Court and was won by Bob Brown and Jessica Hoyt, leading to those laws being removed from Tasmanian legislation.

Bob Brown invited speakers from all around the world to speak at the Hobart town hall.

This was a chance for Tasmania to hear from some of the world's preeminent speakers about the state of our world and democracy.  

We want an immediate end to native forest logging and the protection of all remaining native forests in Australia.  
  • Ongoing campaign against Malaysian logging giant Ta Ann for their ongoing destruction of native forests in Tasmania and Indonesia and their history of human rights abuses. 
  • Plight of Koalas and the illegal logging in NSW threatening their habitat exposed through our citizen science program. 
  • The Great Forest case was our landmark legal action that highlighted the precarious situation of the critically endangered Swift Parrot and led to temporary injunctions and the halting of logging in Swift Parrot Important Breeding Areas. 
  • Our campaigns achieved a moratorium on logging on Tasmania’s beautiful Bruny Island. 
  • Halting a proposed native forest woodchip mill at Dover, in southern Tasmania.
1000 people took part in a Stop Adani convoy all the way from Tasmania to Queensland, rallying another 30,000 people along the way.
Since 2015 we have been campaigning for the protection of takayna / Tarkine, Australia’s largest tract of intact wilderness dominated by ancient cool temperate rainforests.

Since 2015 we have been campaigning for the protection of takayna / Tarkine, Australia’s largest tract of intact wilderness dominated by ancient cool temperate rainforests.  takayna is an Aboriginal living landscape with a globally-significant history and ongoing cultural importance. 

We joined with Sea Shepherd to lead a campaign to stop the construction of a massive gas hub in in the Kimberly region of Western Australia

This area was a humpback whale nursery and breeding ground. The campaign was successful.
