We’re launching a new Emerging Artist Mentorship Program alongside our 2026 Art for Takayna Residency — free for artists thanks to the City of Hobart.
Art for Takayna is our annual artist residency and exhibition, focused around our campaign defend the ancient landscapes of Takayna from mining and logging.
This inclusive mentorship program, facilitated by Mahalia White-McColl and Bianca Yrure on behalf of BBF, supports artists to enrich their residency and exhibition experience by developing art that explores environmentally relevant themes, with guidance and support. The program aims to translate the experience into sustainable creative careers, bridging gaps in the Tasmanian art scene.
