Join the Native Forest Declaration Winter Blitz

Help end native forest logging in Australia.

Why we need to protect native forests

Native forest logging in Australia is pushing unique wildlife like the Swift Parrot, Koala, and Greater Glider towards extinction.
Forests are irreplaceable carbon banks – yet when logged and burnt, they release megatonnes of greenhouse gases and become more prone to bushfires.
The climate and biodiversity crises are inextricably linked, and ending native forest logging is one of the most immediate nature-based solutions we can achieve.
Australia already has enough plantation timber to meet its wood needs. Our native forests must be protected for wildlife, climate, and future generations.

The more allies we have, the stronger our message. Between now and early September, we’re aiming to build a wave of public backing before delivering these Declarations directly to MPs across the country.

We already have over 60,000 signatures, but to create unstoppable momentum, we’re aiming for 100,000 voices before our next big handover in Canberra. And this is one of our tactics to get us closer to that goal!

Together, we can end native forest logging and protect these irreplaceable ecosystems for good.
