Did you know that Antarctic Krill, the foundation of the Antarctic ecosystem is sold on the shelves of Australian retailers?
Almost all animals in Antarctica, from penguins and seals, all the way up to the great whales, rely on krill to survive. But giant supertrawlers are plundering krill for supposed health supplements and to feed farmed salmon – an egregious, wasteful use of such an important species.
After months of investigations, we have just released a damning report that has pinpointed some of the biggest sellers of Antarctica's destruction in Australia. It's time to tell these companies that plundering Antarctica for profit is unacceptable
That’s why we’re pulling together snap actions at one of the major supermarket chains next month and we need you to help us.
We are looking for people in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane who care about our oceans and marine systems, who can join us in a fun, peaceful action on October 27th.
Not in one of the key cities? That’s ok – just let us know where you are based and we can get you set up to join in the fun.
We’ll be holding a briefing for this action on Zoom next XXXXXX. We’d love for you to sign up and get involved!
