Bob Brown Foundation is seeking a passionate philanthropy professional, or rising star, to help us raise funds needed to campaign for Australia’s wild forests, wildlife and marine environment.

The Philanthropy Director will be responsible for maintaining and creating enriching relationships with our key supporters, securing funds and delivering donor engagement activities that provide hope and inspiration. You will work in collaboration with an dynamic campaign team to eloquently convey the critical need to protect places like takayna, Australia’s largest temperate rainforest.

In particular, the Philanthropy Director will focus on existing and potential major gifts and bequests and stewarding donors from identification to confirmed key supporters. You will design personalised communications to engage major donors, bequesters and foundations and will be involved with BBF’s fabulous major events like the annual ultramarathon takayna Trail which raises $300,000.

You will also be working with the Digital & Regular Giving Fundraiser and will write funding proposals and grant applications for existing and high prospect donors.

We are willing to consider applicants with a range of skills and experience provided you can demonstrate a passion for protecting the natural world and have demonstrated experience of strong, positive results in fundraising. You should be a people person with eloquent communication and negotiation skills and a can-do attitude. Top candidates will be able to see a myriad of opportunities and develop individualized strategies that work for different donors.

Renumeration will be commensurate with previous skills and fundraising track record and additional training would be available for the right candidate if necessary.
