“On Monday, Albanese pointed to climate change being an agent of the NSW floods and on Wednesday, he approved one of the worst climate change accelerators on Earth; Woodside’s NW Shelf bombshell,” said Bob Brown.

“Forget ‘friend of Pacific’, forget Minister Bowen standing in front of windfarms or electric vehicles, it is all just duplicitous greenwashing as this gas carbon bomb is detonated,” said Christine Milne.

“The Prime Minister’s spin ‘accelerating global heating with another 40 yrs of gas as necessary for ‘firming’ in the energy transition’, makes him no better than every other climate denier and fossil fuel appeaser,” said Christine Milne.

“Albanese had a choice between Woodside CEO Meg O’Neil and the young Australians she despises, and he chose Woodside,” said Bob Brown.
